Top Picks: The Met Gala

Here's a quick roundup of my favorite looks from last night's Met Gala.

Call me crazy, but something about Beyonce's frock speaks to
me with its '60s Italian glam-meets '80s over-the-top embellishment

Michelle Williams in this trademark applique
Miu Miu gown had me swooning

Ginnifer Goodwin was an absolute vision is jade

Diane Kruger was a stunner with that epic thigh-high split.  Yowza!

Florence Welch had me drooling over her '30s-inspired creamy confection.

Last but not least, I couldn't get over how simple yet perfect Leelee
Sobieski's gown looked; the absolute epitome of classic chic.

I consider this to be one of fashion's biggest nights, so I couldn't help but
feel a bit disappointed by the lack of fashions risks.  Not to mention the
lack of McQueen at an event dedicated to the late great.  Sigh.

Why Hello, Miss Richie.

Wowza.  I've always been a fan, but Nicole Richie looks absolutely breathtaking in these shots via That magazine.  Just goes to show that petite girls are taking over the world...mua-ha-haaa.

But seriously.  I hope I look like that after 2 kids.

Stay tuned for tomorrow's hair-raising post.  Let's hope my new hairstylist is a hit.  Keep your fingers crossed!

Who's That Chick?

Hot damn.  I just can't can't enough of Ri Ri these days; she plays up her unique persona with these wildly daring outfits and God love her for it.  Even if she isn't always my personal style muse, her attitude just screams "fuck it! you don't pay my bills."  This, my friends, is a motto I can live by.  I've developed somewhat of a borderline stalker crush on Mizz Ri as of late, ever since the latest issue of Vogue hit the stands.  The hair, the makeup, the flirty playfulness, the fun little details, everything!  I think what I love most about her is that she still manages to be cute while still oozing sexiness.  And she has that air about her that lets you know she'd be a super cool chick to chill with, too.  love. Love. LOVE.

Let's Be Real.

Since we all know who was best-dressed last night at the Oscars, despite a not-so-flattering hair color, (see below) let's get down to some honorable mentions.

Emma Roberts worked it in Jenny Packham

Though she attempted her fiercest fug-face,
Mila Kunis was still radiant in Elie Saab

love, love, LOVED Cate Blanchett in this daring Givenchy number
Emma Stone kept it fun and chic in Chanel Haute Couture

Mandy Moore is ravishing in Monique Lhuillier, though I wish
the dress color didn't match her skin tone so perfectly.

Natalie Portman for Miss Dior Cherie...*le sigh*
